Cao yuxin said, under the help and guidance of Beijing institute of chemical industry and other units, luoyang petrochemical completed the development, promotion and industrial amplification of pph-y35x, pph-mn60, pph-mn90b, pph-mn15 and other special polypropylene resins in just three years.Among them, the special polypropylene resin pph-y35x fills the domestic high-end nonwovens application field blank;PPH- MN60, PPH-MN90B and PPH-MN15 products have become the only three high flow, ultra-high modulus, and high crystallization homopolypolypropylene special materials without plasticizer and organotin in the domestic market.

It is understood that, with the progress of science and technology, in recent years, the demand for high technical content of polypropylene special material is also more and more vigorous, product upgrading speed."For a variety of reasons, some polypropylene products contain plasticizer, organic tin and strong smell, which affects the competitiveness of products in the market."Cao yuxin said.

In view of this situation, the expert team of cao yuxin began to solve these problems in the processing and application of polypropylene in 2017.In the study of similar products abroad, they found that to develop polypropylene products with no plasticizer and organotin, low odor, high rigidity, high hardness, high heat resistance, high gloss and other processing and application characteristics, it must solve a series of problems such as catalyst selection and modified base materials.

In the process of developing new polypropylene products, in order to select the right main catalyst, the team extruded and granulated different brands of catalyst and homogenized polypropylene powder on the same process device.After repeated comparison, they found that the comprehensive performance of pph-mn60, pph-mn90b and pph-mn15 obtained by the polymerization of HR catalyst was obviously excellent, with low safety risks, and did not contain substances banned by the eu, such as plasticizer.

Meanwhile, in order to solve the problem of key process control points, the team optimized the process control points through repeated polypropylene product tests, which improved the heat resistance temperature, transparency and gloss of new polypropylene products, shortened the molding cycle of downstream products, and effectively solved the problem of rigid and tough balance of polypropylene.

"Another technical challenge we face is the performance of environmentally friendly polypropylene."He led the team to conduct comparative analysis and pilot studies of melt flow rates, relative molecular mass and distribution, bending modulus, TVOC and other parameters."Through this process, the TVOC content of polypropylene has been significantly reduced, thus reducing the odor of polypropylene in downstream processing applications.
