- Mar 20, 2019-

The Brazilian international plastics exhibition will be held in Sao Paulo's north exhibition centre from April 8-12, 2019.

The show is hosted by reed Brazil.

The exhibition was held in 1987. In its 30 years of development, FEIPLASTIC has expanded its business beyond the Brazilian market. FEIPLASTIC has become one of the international communication and exhibition platforms for the plastics industry, and is considered as a reliable exhibition for the plastics industry by insiders.

Held every two years, FEIPLASTIC has maintained a steady growth in exhibitors, exhibition space, scale and visitors.

More than 1,000 exhibitors and 56,000 professionals from more than 30 countries and regions visited in 2017.

Market introduction

Brazil's basic petrochemical industry is a leader in Latin America, producing thermoplastic and intermediate chemicals.

Brazil is the world's fifth most populous country, with a high consumer demand, but also one of the world's top 10 plastic consumers.

Most plastics used in the packaging and automotive industries are made by injection molding.

Brazil is now the sixth-largest producer and fifth-largest seller of cars.

This has further promoted the application of plastic technology in China, and promoted the demand for plastic molding products used to replace heavy auto parts.

That's because plastic body panels are much lighter than metal parts and easier to manufacture, increasing fuel economy.

According to the Brazilian plastics industry association, the construction of the 2014 World Cup football match and the 2016 Olympic Games has greatly boosted the domestic plastics market demand.

Data shows that in the first quarter of 2013, Brazil's plastic market demand increased nearly 3 percent compared with the same period last year.

In addition, the Brazilian plastic market has been further boosted by the recovery of industries such as automobile manufacturing and plastic packaging.

Among them, the market value of modified plastics increased to $7 billion in 2013.

In addition, North America and Europe have a per capita plastic demand of over 40 kg/person, while Brazil currently has a per capita plastic demand of 10 kg/person.

That suggests there is plenty of room for growth in the plastics industry.
