New POM with superior durability and sliding performance

- May 16, 2019-

Japanese engineering plastics supplier Polyplastics has introduced a new polyformaldehyde (POM, or polyacetal) label, DURACON POM ww-09.It has high strength and excellent creep and sliding properties.Polyplastics will attend the 2019 international rubber and plastics exhibition (booth B31, hall 11.2) in guangzhou, China on May 21, solstice 24.

Polyplastics' DURACON POM ww-09 delivers better mechanical properties with high initial strength and creep by using high-molecular weight polymers and the company's original molecular design and polymerization technology.According to Polyplastics, the new material meets the need for sliding grades that require durability under high loads and loads, so Polyplastics USES thin walls to achieve lighter weight and better space efficiency.

Compared with the existing sliding grade grades, DURACON ww-09 has higher mechanical properties and keeps close to the physical properties of high viscosity standard grade DURACON m25-44.Due to its high viscosity polymer, ww-09 has better creep performance than other sliding grades. The material also has long term durability and can be used in close to standard grade product designs and long term continuous load applications.

Duracon ww-09 has the same good sliding performance as other sliding grades and the ability to reduce noise during sliding.
